WHAT IS A CHRONOLOGICAL 4 GOSPEL BIBLE?
The Chronological 4 Gospels are the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a few verses from Acts and 1st Corinthians, combined in chronological form. This enables a person to read and study all four as a unit. One can read Matthew’s account of an event, and then read the same event in the other accounts. There are certain events that are only presented in one or two, but others are presented in all 4. A student of the Bible can now read and study how and when all the events occurred in relation to each other. Thus, a person’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Word should increase as the Holy Spirit gives the understanding.

BUT I SAY (TO) YOU, THAT IN THIS PLACE IS ONE (or something) GREATER THAN THE TEMPLE.

BUT IF (YOU) HAD KNOWN WHAT (THESE WORDS) (MEAN), I WILL HAVE MERCY (or compassion), AND NOT (animal) SACRIFICE, (YOU) WOULD NOT HAVE CONDEMNED THE GUILTLESS.

AND (then) HE SAID (TO) THEM,

THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR (MANKIND), AND NOT (MANKIND) FOR THE SABBATH:

FOR

THE SON OF MAN IS LORD EVEN OF THE SABBATH DAY.

(HE ENTERED INTO THE SYNAGOGUE)
THE WITHERED HAND HEALED ON
THE SABBATH DAY
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS

AND

IT CAME TO PASS

WHEN HE WAS DEPARTED (FROM THERE),

ALSO ON ANOTHER SABBATH, THAT

HE WENT

AND

HE ENTERED

AGAIN

INTO THEIR SYNAGOGUE:

AND TAUGHT:

AND,

BEHOLD,

THERE

WAS A MAN

THERE

WHICH HAD

HIS

RIGHT

HAND WITHERED (or shriveled).

AND

THEY

THE SCRIBES (or teachers of the Law–NIV) AND PHARISEES

WATCHED HIM (closely), WHETHER HE WOULD HEAL HIM ON THE SABBATH DAY;

AND THEY ASKED HIM, SAYING, IS IT LAWFUL TO HEAL (or is healing permitted–JNT) ON THE SABBATH DAYS?

THAT THEY MIGHT

(have

(A)

reason

to)

ACCUSE HIM (of something).

BUT (JESUS) KNEW (WHAT THEY WERE THINKING–NIV),

AND HE SAID (TO) THEM, WHAT MAN SHALL THERE BE AMONG YOU, THAT SHALL HAVE ONE SHEEP, AND IF IT FALL INTO A PIT ON THE SABBATH DAY, WILL HE NOT (TAKE) HOLD ON IT, AND LIFT IT OUT?

HOW MUCH THEN IS A MAN (MORE VALUABLE) THAN A SHEEP? WHEREFORE IT IS (PERMITTED) TO DO WELL (or good) ON THE SABBATH DAYS.

AND HE (SAID) (TO) THE MAN WHICH HAD THE WITHERED HAND, (RISE AND COME FORWARD–NASB),

IN (FRONT OF EVERYONE)

(where we can see you–JNT).

AND HE AROSE AND (CAME) (there).

AND

THEN

HE

JESUS

(SAID)

(TO) THEM,

I WILL ASK YOU ONE THING;

IS IT LAWFUL (or What is permitted…) TO DO GOOD ON THE SABBATH DAYS, OR TO DO EVIL (or harm)? TO SAVE (a) LIFE, OR TO KILL?

BUT THEY (KEPT SILENT).

AND LOOKING (AROUND) (AT) THEM
ALL,

AND WHEN HE HAD LOOKED (AROUND) ON THEM WITH ANGER, BEING GRIEVED (or greatly distressed) FOR THE HARDNESS (or stoniness) OF THEIR (stubborn) HEARTS,

THEN (SAID) HE TO THE MAN, STRETCH FORTH (YOUR) HAND. AND HE (HELD IT OUT); AND IT WAS RESTORED (TO NORMAL), LIKE AS THE OTHER.

AND THEY WERE FILLED WITH MADNESS (or rage, or were furious);

THEN THE PHARISEES WENT OUT, AND

(IMMEDIATELY)

HELD A COUNCIL (or plotted)

AND (DISCUSSED) ONE WITH ANOTHER

WITH THE HERODIANS (or Herod’s party–JNT)

AGAINST HIM,

WHAT THEY MIGHT DO TO JESUS.

(as to) HOW THEY MIGHT (KILL) HIM.

(JESUS WITHDREW FROM THAT AREA,
TO THE LAKE)
MANY HEALED
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
BUT

WHEN JESUS KNEW IT, HE WITHDREW HIMSELF FROM (THAT AREA):

JESUS WITHDREW HIMSELF WITH HIS DISCIPLES TO THE SEA:

AND

(MANY)

A GREAT (CROWD) FROM GALILEE

FOLLOWED HIM,

AND (also) FROM (JUDEA),

AND FROM JERUSALEM, AND FROM (IDUMEA), AND FROM BEYOND (the) JORDAN; AND THEY ABOUT (the vicinity of) TYRE AND SIDON, A GREAT MULTITUDE, WHEN THEY HAD HEARD WHAT GREAT THINGS HE DID, CAME (TO) (or followed) HIM.

AND HE HEALED THEM ALL;

AND HE (SAID) TO HIS DISCIPLES, THAT A SMALL (BOAT) SHOULD WAIT ON HIM BECAUSE OF THE MULTITUDE, LEST THEY SHOULD (CROWD) (or crush) HIM (or so that He could escape the crush of the crowd if necessary–JNT).

FOR HE HAD HEALED MANY; INSOMUCH (or with the result) THAT THEY (WERE PUSHING FORWARD) UPON HIM (IN ORDER) TO TOUCH HIM, AS MANY AS HAD PLAGUES (or afflictions) (or all the sick kept pressing forward to touch Him–JNT).

AND UNCLEAN (or evil) SPIRITS, WHEN THEY SAW HIM, (they) FELL DOWN BEFORE HIM, AND CRIED (out), SAYING, (YOU) (ARE) THE SON OF GOD.

AND

HE (EARNESTLY

(WARNED) THEM

(all)

(or gave them strict orders–NIV)

THAT THEY SHOULD NOT MAKE HIM KNOWN (or tell Who He was–NIV):

ISAIAH–S PROPHECY OF JESUS
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY (ISAIAH) THE PROPHET, SAYING,

BEHOLD MY SERVANT, WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED (or the One I love–NIV), IN WHOM MY SOUL IS WELL PLEASED (or in Whom I delight–NIV): I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE SHALL (PROCLAIM) JUDGMENT (or justice) TO THE GENTILES.

HE SHALL NOT STRIVE (or quarrel, or fight), NOR CRY (out, or shout); NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE STREETS.

A BRUISED (or battered, or broken) REED SHALL HE NOT BREAK (or snap) (off), AND SMOKING (or smoldering) FLAX (or wick) SHALL HE NOT QUENCH (or put out, or snuff out), TILL HE (HAS BROUGHT) FORTH JUDGMENT (or justice) (through) (TO) VICTORY.

AND IN HIS NAME SHALL THE GENTILES TRUST (or hope).

(JESUS WENT TO THE HILL COUNTRY)
JESUS PRAYED
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
AND

IT CAME TO PASS IN THOSE DAYS, THAT

HE (WENT)

OUT (TO) (THE HILL COUNTRY)

UP INTO A (HILL) (side),

TO PRAY, AND (He) CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER (praying) TO GOD.

THE TWELVE APOSTLES CHOSEN
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
AND

WHEN IT WAS DAY (or when morning came), HE

(CALLED) (TO) HIM

HIS DISCIPLES:

(THOSE) HE (WANTED): AND THEY CAME (TO) HIM.

AND

OF THEM

HE

CHOSE

(and) ORDAINED (or appointed)

TWELVE,

WHOM ALSO HE NAMED APOSTLES (or emissaries);

THAT THEY SHOULD BE WITH HIM, AND THAT HE MIGHT SEND THEM FORTH TO PREACH,

AND TO HAVE (AUTHORITY) TO HEAL SICKNESSES, AND TO CAST OUT (or expel, or drive out) (DEMONS):

(And He appointed the twelve–NASB) AND

SIMON

(WHOM)

HE

AND JUDAS (from) ISCARIOT (or K'riot),

WHICH (BECAME) THE TRAITOR.

WHICH ALSO BETRAYED HIM: AND THEY WENT INTO AN HOUSE (or came home).

AND THEY THAT WERE (TORMENTED) WITH UNCLEAN (or evil) SPIRITS: AND THEY WERE (CURED).

AND THE WHOLE MULTITUDE (TRIED) TO TOUCH HIM: FOR THERE WENT VIRTUE (or power) OUT (FROM) HIM, AND HEALED THEM ALL.

FOR THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED.

BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU, AND PRAY FOR THEM WHICH DESPITEFULLY USE YOU (or mistreat you).

YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
(YOU) ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH (or land): BUT IF THE SALT HAVE LOST HIS (FLAVOR) (or saltiness, or has become tasteless), (HOW) SHALL IT BE SALTED (or seasoned, or be made salty again–NASB)? IT IS (NO LONGER) GOOD FOR (ANYTHING), (EXCEPT) TO BE (THROWN) OUT, AND TO BE (TRAMPLED) UNDER FOOT (BY) MEN. (Ref Mk 9:50; Lk 14:34)

YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
(YOU) ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY (or town) THAT IS SET (or built) ON AN HILL CANNOT BE HID. (Ref Lk 8:16; 11:33; Jn 8:12; 12:46)

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
NEITHER DO (PEOPLE) LIGHT A CANDLE (or lamp), AND PUT IT UNDER A BUSHEL (or peck–measure, or bowl, or basket), BUT (instead they put it–NIV) ON A (LAMPSTAND); AND IT (GIVES) LIGHT (TO) (or shines for) (EVERYONE) THAT ARE IN THE HOUSE. (Ref Mk 4:21; Lk 8:16; 11:33)

Example–they may say in defense of them not preaching on hell, damnation, or judgment the following. It is written Mt 18:6–BUT WHOSO SHALL OFFEND ONE OF THESE LITTLE ONES WHICH BELIEVE IN ME, IT WERE BETTER FOR HIM THAT A MILLSTONE WERE HANGED ABOUT HIS NECK, AND THAT HE WERE DROWNED IN THE DEPTH OF THE SEA. They may say in their defense that if they preached on these things, they would offend people so they dare not preach these things.

Other preachers have become one subject preachers. They will not preach the whole Gospel. They also can defend their position with scripture. They claim God wants them to preach this single subject because nearly no one else is preaching it.

The list is almost endless. This teaching is mostly a result of Satan mis–using Scripture, and then putting it into the hearts and minds of the unsaved, or very worldly Christians. Sometimes he puts it into the hearts of preachers that were once may have been great evangelists, but they fell through some sin, or nearly fell, and afterward the understanding they once had, seems to have deminished.

In this Laodicean church age people are so shallow in God's Word, that they are moved easily with every wind of misleading doctrine that comes along, as it is written: Eph 4:14–THAT WE HENCEFORTH BE NO MORE CHILDREN, TOSSED TO AND FRO, AND CARRIED ABOUT WITH EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE, BY THE SLEIGHT OF MEN, AND CUNNING CRAFTINESS, WHEREBY THEY LIE IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

A Christian that cannot properly put Scriptures together, is still a child Christian. He is what we may say in the first, second, or third grade.

Nevertheless, God has told us that this latter day generation:
2 Tim 4:3–FOR THE TIME WILL COME (which is today) WHEN MEN WILL NOT PUT UP WITH SOUND DOCTRINE. INSTEAD, TO SUIT THEIR OWN DESIRES, THEY WILL GATHER AROUND THEM A GREAT NUMBER OF TEACHERS TO SAY WHAT THEIR ITCHING EARS WANT TO HEAR.

Indeed, through the TV, the internet, evangelistic crusades, and guest preachers at churches, people do indeed partake of the teaching of many preachers that say what they want to hear. This prophecy has been fulfilled.

And what do they want to hear? They want to hear they will be healthy, wealthy and they will prosper in this world.
They want to hear that they never need to give up anything for Christ.
They want to hear that they never need to witness or serve Christ, because it makes them uptight and they might have to study the Bible more.
Then they want to hear that when they die they will go to heaven and have a lot of rewards.
Consider, at many people’s funerals, does the preacher ever, ever, ever say this person is now in hell. Not that I am aware of–because it would offend people, and they just can’t do that. So they lie or are so deceived they think everyone goes to heaven and no one goes to hell. The Bible tells us clearly the number that go to heaven is only a few.
So they say this person is now at peace. They are in heaven. They are in a better place. They are now happy, when in fact the person is screaming and gnashing his teeth in hell for the torment he is enduring.

Incorrect Scripture Use. Incorrect understanding of Scripture
Why are their so many denominations? One reason is because Satan has been able to take one or a group of Scriptures and put them together and make an incorrect doctrine out of them. Divisions arise, and thus another denomination.

We see this in the days of the Pharisees and Seduces. Each believed differently because one had a more incorrect understanding of Scripture.

Why did the religious leaders attack Jesus, often with Scripture? They had been deceived by the devil into believing the Scriptures did not mean what they really did. This same deception goes on in the mind of the unsaved, as well as the carnal, worldly, lukewarm Christians. The humble Christians can be easily corrected. The more prideful a person is, the less easily they can accept the fact that they are wrong.

If the unsaved or carnal Christian has a hardened heart toward correction, (or they strive against Godly correction or are combative, and not meek or humble) they have little or no hope of growing in the Lord and obtaining eternal life–for GOD RESISTETH THE PROUD.

Here are clear examples of Satan putting into the minds of the unsaved or carnally minded, a wrong understanding of Scripture, and then Jesus correcting them with other Scripture to show them the error of their way. The end results of Jesus trying to correct the people often was that they got angry and tried to kill him. Few were childlike and received the correction as a little child–ref Mt 18:, as Satan had a stronghold in their thoughts and hard hearts.

This is so important, because this misunderstanding of Scripture that nearly every one has along with the fruits of the Spirit can be said to be at the heart of illustrating where a person is or is not at in their walk with Jesus.

Satan puts into the minds of some, the following Scripture with a wrong interpretation. It is written:

Mt 3, beginning at verse 1–
At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Note they ACCUSED. Remember Satan is called the accuser of the brethren. THEY (the religious leaders) ACCUSED Jesus’s disciples of committing sin.
    Mt 12:3-
But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shew–bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? The religious leaders had tried to show Jesus and the people that the disciples of Jesus were in sin.
Then Jesus in return used other Scripture that showed the great, learned religious leaders of his time had a wrong understanding of God’s Word as he countered with other Scriptures. Then Jesus continued with even more Scripture–
V5 OR HAVE YE NOT READ IN THE LAW, HOW THAT ON THE SABBATH DAYS THE PRIESTS IN THE TEMPLE PROFANE THE SABBATH, AND ARE BLAMELESS? Jesus, had in effect, destroyed Satan’s mis–use of Scripture in these great religious leaders.
But then Jesus went on even further than this. Jesus now showed the great, honored, respected religious leaders just how hard their hearts really were and how flawed their interpretation of Scripture was and just how deeply they misunderstood Scripture as He said:
V7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND NOT SACRIFICE, YE WOULD NOT HAVE CONDEMNED THE GUILTLESS.
Jesus now revealed before all the people, that these Pharisees were not merciful, and they were false accusers, and they falsely condemned those that were totally innocent, and they did not have the fruits of the Spirit of God. Jesus then finally reveals that He is God when he said V8–FOR THE SON OF MAN IS LORD EVEN OF THE SABBATH DAY.
Jesus had annihilated the theology and reputation of the great, renowned, honored, revered religious leaders before multitudes of people. He had revealed that they were false accusers. He had revealed these religious leaders did not have the fruits of God’s Spirit and all this had happened before a multitude of people. Is it any wonder that they sought to kill him. They hated correction. However as time went on did any Pharisees get saved? The answer is yes.

Regarding the fruits of the Spirit, there are two forms of love, one is emotional love, one is obedient love. Emotional love can be here today, and gone tomorrow. Obedient love centered on God is eternal if accompanied with faith, and trust. That is why people can have tears flowing down their face in church, but when they walk out the door they light up a cigarette, pull out a can of beer and curse their neighbor.

Mt 3- revealed that the unsaved and carnal do not understand Scripture to varying degrees, and they do not exhibit the fruits of the Spirit as they ought, and in this case there is no indication that they humbled themselves and repented afterwards.

What has just been covered is not the first place in the New Testament, that Satan tried to mislead people with Scripture. That took place with Jesus himself. Satan is skillful in God’s Word, (how be it–with incorrect understanding) He undoubtably has the entire Bible memorized so perfectly with his super intelligence, that he can stand toe to toe with Christ himself and strive and contend with him using Scripture. Satan is also a master at using a person’s own emotions against them, or even love for worldly things.

However, as God’s Word clearly reveals, Satan cannot understand the Scripture in their correct context. Should he understand Scripture correctly, he would not have crucified the Son of Man for it is written: 1 Cor 2:7,8–BUT WE SPEAK THE WISDOM OF GOD IN A MYSTERY, EVEN THE HIDDEN WISDOM,…WHICH NONE OF THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD KNEW: FOR HAD THEY KNOWN IT, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CRUCIFIED THE LORD OF GLORY.
One might then say, If Satan is allowed to deceive me so easily, what chance do I have, for he even deceived Peter in denying Christ three times. God’s answer to this is that He guarantees each person that surrenders their life to Him, they cannot be tempted beyond that which they are able to endure, but God will with that temptation also make a way for them to escape–ref 1 Cor 10:13.

Again hear God’s Word on how Satan misuses Scripture to deceive and tempt people, but that the spiritually minded can recognize this deception and counter it with the correct usage of other Scripture. Nevertheless, the unsaved, and carnal Christian or Christian whose heart is not pure, has not yet reached a point where they can do this correct as of yet. They need to grow. So Satan keeps a person so busy with this or that work, or with other things they enjoy doing, that they never grow as they need to, so they perish because they love the things of this present world more than they love being in God’s Word.

Mt 4:3–11–At first, Satan did not use Scripture in tempting Jesus. He used the needs of his own body. AND WHEN THE TEMPTER (which is Satan) CAME TO HIM (Jesus), HE SAID, IF THOU BE THE SON OF GOD, COMMAND THAT THESE STONES BE MADE BREAD. Jesus must have been very hungry and weak. The unsaved and carnal Christians might say to this temptation–hey, this sounds like a good idea. This test comes to each of us in many forms, and nearly all fall for this one. This test was to see if Jesus would trust in his own powers, or also if he would allow Satan to guide him, or also if He would trust in His father to provide. Other tests were also involved here. We are not to be led by Satan’s devices, but by every Word of God.
Mt 4:4–BUT HE (Jesus) ANSWERED AND SAID, IT IS WRITTEN, MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD. This Scripture defeated Satan.
BECOMING A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN AND GROWING? Continues

Mt 4:5–THEN THE DEVIL TAKETH HIM UP INTO THE HOLY CITY, AND SETTETH HIM ON A PINNACLE OF THE TEMPLE, AND SAITH UNTO HIM, IF THOU BE THE SON OF GOD, CAST THYSELF DOWN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, (now Satan’s, having failed in his first temptation, begins to use Scripture). Satan said to Jesus, HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE CONCERNING THEE: AND IN THEIR HANDS THEY SHALL BEAR THEE UP, LEST AT ANY TIME THOU DASH THY FOOT AGAINST A STONE.
How often are all of us tempted with various forms of this temptation, and we never recognize it is Satan’s talking to us? You should go here because. You should do this because. You should do something else besides reading your Bible because. You can jump off a building because God will protect you. You can speed in your car because God will protect you. You can lie about something, because they will never know what you did. There are many forms of this temptation, some where Satan uses Scripture, but others where he uses your desires and emotions. Jesus responded to Satan.
Mt 4:7–JESUS SAID UNTO HIM, IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN, THOU SHALT NOT TEMPT THE LORD THY GOD. Satan was defeated again by the correct usage of Scripture.

Finally Satan having been defeated twice by God’s Word, throws everything to the wind so to speak. He pulls out every stop so to speak. He offers Jesus, what he intends to offer to his son, the antichrist in the near future.
Mt 4:8–AGAIN, THE DEVIL TAKETH HIM UP INTO AN EXCEEDING HIGH MOUNTAIN, AND SHEWETH HIM ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD, AND THE GLORY OF THEM;…AND SAITH UNTO HIM, ALL THESE THINGS WILL I GIVE THEE, IF THOU WILT FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP ME.
Satan’s cloak of secrecy now comes off. Satan reveals his real motives. He wants worship. Satan wants people’s allegiance. Satan wants to be as God. He wants to ascend above the stars of God. He wants to be like the Most High. One temptation that Satan is very successful in using, is that you can rule over yourself, and be in control but also go to heaven. Satan is pride, and all that are prideful are followers of Satan and God resists them.
If every temptation Satan has fails to cause you to be deceived, he may finally as a last resort offer you riches, and glory and honor, if you will simply not follow Jesus.

Jesus again fights against Satan’s temptations with God’s Word.
Mt 4:10–THEN SAITH JESUS UNTO HIM, GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE. Jesus is telling Satan through Scripture he was not going to worship Satan. He is not going to serve Satan. He will only worship and serve His Father which is in heaven. Satan is again defeated with the correct usage of Scripture.

Jesus had passed all three tests and defeated Satan with the Word of God. Jesus had commanded Satan to leave because it was written THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE. Satan’s third temptation against Jesus became the very tool Jesus used to command Satan to leave. GET THEE HENCE.

Then Satan leaves him for a time. Jesus passed these three tests.
Mt 4:11–THEN THE DEVIL LEAVETH HIM, AND, BEHOLD, ANGELS CAME AND MINISTERED UNTO HIM.

Satan did leave, however he returned over and over and over through his servants and ultimately tempted Jesus in all ways as we may be tempted, sometimes with Scripture

We do not have time now to elaborate on them now. Here are some. It is written:

Mt 19:4–Jesus was tempted, so he responded with: HE…SAID UNTO THEM, HAVE YE NOT READ, THAT HE WHICH MADE THEM AT THE BEGINNING MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,

Jesus being tempted said: Mt 22:31…AS TOUCHING THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, HAVE YE NOT READ THAT WHICH WAS SPOKEN UNTO YOU BY GOD, SAYING,

Mk 12:10–…HAVE YE NOT READ THIS SCRIPTURE; THE STONE WHICH THE BUILTERS REJECTED IS BECOME THE HEAD OF THE CORNER.

Mk 12:26–AND AS TOUCHING THE DEAD, THAT THEY RISE: HAVE YE NOT READ IN THE BOOK OF MOSES…

Lk 6:3–JESUS…SAID, HAVE YE NOT READ SO MUCH AS THIS, WHAT DAVID DID, WHEN HIMSELF WAS AN HUNGRED…

Mt 21:16–JESUS SAITH…HAVE YE NOT READ, OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES…

Mt 21:42–JESUS SAITH…DID YE NEVER READ IN THE SCRIPTURES,

Mk 2:25–HE SAID…HAVE YE NOT READ

This misunderstanding and misusing of God’s Word along with the lack of the fruits of the Spirit, is the backbone of what defines a person’s walk with Jesus.

SUMMARY
A worldly Christian can no more understand the subject of perfection and holiness than a elementary school student could understand the studies of a person that has the highest possible University degree. A carnal Christian is unskillful in using the Word of God because he is a baby Christian–ref Heb 5:13. The pureness of a person’s heart, being guided by God’s Word through His Spirit enables a person the walk in the Spirit.
In the beginnings it is in first grate, but then as the person that obeys God’s Word, he progresses on to second, then third and then can go on to a junior or ivy league college. So what should you do.
Study to show thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. Study as if you were very afraid of not reaching the mark God has called you to make, unrelentingly, devouring God’s Word for it is far more important than your worldly food. Your worldly food may sustain you till tomorrow. God’s Word can sustain you for time without end.

There is a spirit of error and a spirit of truth. Which do you have?
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………
Thirst for God’s Word is an indicator if God’s Spirit is present in a person
A person that reads God’s Word grudgingly is most likely not a Christian at all for it is written AS NEWBORN BABES DESIRE (or crave) THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD THAT YE MAY GROW THEREBY.

How foolish a person is if they say they want to be saved,
if they say they do not want to go to hell,
if they say they want to go to heaven,
if they say they want to be a Christian,

but they do not want to dwell in God’s Word day and night.

They do not want to obey all of God’s Word as it is written.
They do not want to forsake all sin.
They do not want to forsake all they have to be with Jesus.
They do not want to give up certain things for Jesus.
They do not want to serve Jesus.
They do not want to allow God to change them with His Word.
They are not willing to deny themselves,
    to die to themselves,
because they still want to do the things which they wish to do–usually something that involves fun.
The flesh, or one’s own personal desires and selfish ambitions, can destroy and nullify God’s word.

If a person does not want to give up certain things,
if they do not want to change,
    and be transformed
    and converted,
if they do not want to dwell in God’s Word day and night then they do not really want to have eternal life, for it is written REPENT, BE BAPTIZED EVERYONE, and NEWBORN BABES DESIRE OR CRAVE THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD SO THEY MAY GROW–ref 1 Pe 2:2.
If a person is not crying for out for God’s Word to feed them, then neither are they crying out to God to take them to heaven.
If a person has to constantly be reminded to read the Bible, then they are not there because the Bible CLEARLY STATES, they shall desire or crave God’s Word exactly the same as a baby desires or craves milk.
Such a person is a make believe Christian that tries to look like they are saved but their heart inside them is not right.

If that unquenchable craving to read God’s Word is not present in a person, then no, they are not a baby Christian, because if God’s Spirit was inside them, He wants to grow in them and thus that craving desire for God’s Word is present. But again if that craving, that yearning, that desire, that drawing, is not there, then reading the Bible is nothing more than a command someone tells them to do. They are not a carnal Christian, they simply are not saved.

When a person receives the Holy Spirit, no one has to tell them to read the Bible. No one has to remind them for the Spirit inside them need’s God’s Word to grow. It is the same regarding being hungry for food. Does someone have to remind you to eat? No. Your stomach tells you, stop what you are doing and eat–I am hungry. And if you resist, your stomach may get upset with you, and the hunger pains forces you to go and eat. So it is with God’s Word, IF God’s Spirit is inside you.

If no Spirit is present, one may ask how can this be? There may be some unrepentant sin, or perhaps some thing in the Bible they refuse to believe. It an be a condition of their heart. Their heart may be a wayside heart, so they pretend to follow Jesus as most clergy do and most people are deceived by them.

If The Spirit would be in them, but He is not fed by God’s Word, the Spirit in them can’t grow, but will shrivel up and die spiritually, and can be expected to run out–Mt 9:17.

Is there hope for them. There is usually always hope, till they die.

Different kinds of Christians
The heart is the key. A 5 chapter a day Christian is a 5 chapter a day Christian.
    A 10 chapter a day Christian is a 10 chapter a day Christian.
A student of God’s Word that spends 3000 hours a year studying and allowing God’s Word to work in him, should become a greatly changed person, fit for the masters use.
A person that studies, studies, and studies, but does not continually repent as he sees the error of his ways and the evil in his heart, is like a spinning tire caught in the mud. He goes no–where spiritually. He may be a 20 year Christian but he has never got out of the first grade. He is caught in the mud. And that is exactly where most Christians are today

God is saying to you personally: 2 Tim 2:15–STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD,
A WORKMAN THAT NEEDETH NOT TO BE ASHAMED,
RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.

If you are one of the few people in this very deceived Biblical generation that may have a spiritually minded minister, I suggest that you get off your high horse, get off your pedestal, get rid of your stinking pride, throw away your lying attitude that says “You know the Bible” Put on humility, put on brokenness, stop laughing and begin crying. Begin seeking God with all your heart. Put off your carnal, worldly, I know it all attitude. Humble yourselves in the site of the Lord and He shall life you up. And be thankful for your minister, because many Christians all over the world do not have such a minister.

Attitude–humbleness
John the Baptist was the greatest of those that are born among women according to Jesus–Mt 11:11.
So what was His attitude: Was he a know it all? Was he prideful? Have you not read what John the Baptist said of himself:
Mk 1:7, Lk 3:16–John said: THESE COMETH ONE MIGHTIER THAN I AFTER ME,
THE LATCHET OF WHOSE SHOES I AM NOT WORTHY TO STOOP DOWN AND UNLOOSE.
Jn 3:30–HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.
John may have been the humblest among men, except for Jesus, but he said, I MUST DECREASE.
In modern day terminology, he said, “I am not worthy to untie his shoe laces”.
This is a far, far, far cry from what many ministers that preach today and how they act. It is a far cry from how most act that claim they are saved.

Me, myself and I are your greatest enemies in growing spiritually. “Me” needs to die. “myself” needs to deny yourself, and the “I” must be crucified with Christ.

CLOSING
Do you want to draw closer to Jesus, even if it means you must give up things you do not want to give up?
Do you really want more understanding of God–s Word?
Then deny yourself even more. Die to yourself even more. Humble yourself even more.
Do you want to reign over yourself as most do? Then expect Jesus to pull away and let you do it.
Do you want to reign over others? Then expect Jesus to pull away and let you do it.
Do you want people to look up to you? Then expect Jesus to pull away and let you do it.
Are you as Simon which bewitched the people–Acts 8:9. People had regard toward him. Is that the way you want people to be around you? Then expect Jesus to pull away and let you do it.
If you will not let Jesus (His Word) reign over you, and change you, you shall surely perish.
Are you a mocker–You had better read Jude 1:18,19 and repent.
Are you a fault finder? You need to repent.
Are you an accuser? You need to repent.
Do you have a meek and quiet spirit? It is God’s will that you do for it is written–1 Pe 3:4-BUT LET IT BE THE HIDDEN MAN OF THE HEART, IN THAT WHICH IS NOT CORRUPTIBLE, EVEN THE ORNAMENT OF A MEEK AND QUITE SPIRIT, WHICH IS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD OF GREAT PRICE.

Some are very, very resistant to letting someone be over them, even in the Lord. Because they think they know best (which is pride) they refuse to humble themselves.
So then one of two things happens. They either perish, or continue to be a first grade Christian. Then when they die, they perish, or when the church is caught up, they are left behind as many are saying LORD, LORD, OPEN TO US. And He shall say, I NEVER KNEW YOU–Mt 7:23.
Many want to go to heaven, but they just will not humble themselves, and let God change their ungodly, unchristlike attitude No matter how much good preaching they hear, no matter how much they read the Bible, they just refuse to change, so they do not grow. They just will not humble themselves and follow and Obey God’s Word. They just will not do it. They just will not do it. They just will not do it.

By your correct understanding Of God’s Word,
and through a humble, broken, and pure heart,
and through the Spirit of God, comes the fruits of the Spirit of God.

Hell is filled with people of hate, violence, and every evil thought possible, for when a person dies, the way they are is sealed. That is part of their punishment, it is not just being beaten with stripes, and then into the fire for ever and ever. Those stripes along with their burning tongue shall torment them forever and ever.
Is this the kind of people you wish to dwell with for eternity?
Do you want to dwell with people that will be crying, and gnashing their teeth, in eternal torment, screaming for ever and ever because of their pain and burning, even as you will be also?
Yes, I want you to be scared, scared so much that you will allow God to change you before it is too late, because without that change, you are without hope.

Think about it. Would you like to have 100,000 dollars now and hell later, or nothing now but 1 trillion dollars later plus joy and peace.
Regretfully, the fool will choose the $100,000 now,
but the wise man will choose the trillion dollars with joy and peace and love for eternity.
    It is your choice.
Will you forsake all now to follow Jesus?
In doing so you are not really forsaking anything, because you are going to get in return–far more than you could ever dream, and what you receive will last forever. Oh, if you could only understand this. The penalty for sin is death, but sin can be forgiven through repentance and putting your life into the hands of Christ who is the author and finisher of your faith–ref Heb 12:2.

Nearly everyone on earth would choose the $100,000 now. Only a few will choose God’s way. From this minute forth, you cannot ever say you didn’t know these things because God’s Word has just told you

FOR WHAT IS A MAN PROFITED IF HE GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, BUT LOSE HIS OWN SOUL.

Don’t be as the rich young merchant that refused to give up what he had in exchange eternal life and rewards beyond description.
You cannot have what you want in this life, and also have eternal life unless what you want is Jesus and Jesus alone. Surrender your life totally to Jesus now and let Him begin to transform you into His image.
Don–t resist God’s call, because if you do, you will regret that decision far, far, far, far more than you can imagine–as you are tormented day and night forever and ever. The rapture of the church we believe is very close. The things you don’t want to give up now, will not last you much longer because the end is almost at hand.

A person that does not abide in the calling God gave him, but abides in a calling of his own making, believing it is God’s calling, is dead even while he lives. But his own blindness blinds him from understanding such a basic Biblical truth. John’s Gospel reveals that even God’s Word cannot penetrate the hard, calloused heart of a stiffnecked person.

It would be a horrible thing if you did not pay attention to what was preached this day.
It would be a very foolish thing if you take what you have heard this day, and let it go in one ear and out the other. Fear God, depart from evil, forsake all, and follow Jesus.

Of all the people reading this, or hearing it, perhaps one or two will say in their heart, “I need to change. I need to die to myself. I need to humble myself as both Jesus and John the Baptist did”.

If you have heard or read this message, but have not been pricked in your heart, or been convicted of your worldliness in some way–then something may be very, very wrong in your heart–ref Acts 2:37, Jn 8:9.

Have you not read–Phil 2:5–8–LET THIS MIND (or thoughts) BE IN YOU, WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS: YOUR ATTITUDE SHOULD BE THE SAME AS THAT OF CHRIST JESUS–NIV.

JESUS CHRIST,…MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION, (or made Himself nothing) AND TOOK UPON HIM THE FORM OF A SERVANT (or taking the very nature of a servant), AND WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN: AND BEING FOUND IN FASHION (or in appearance) AS A MAN, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, AND BECAME OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, EVEN THE DEATH OF THE CROSS. JESUS CHRIST…HUMBLED HIMSELF.

Deut 11:26–28–BEHOLD, I SET BEFORE YOU THIS DAY A BLESSING AND A CURSE; A BLESSING, IF YE OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY: AND A CURSE, IF YE WILL NOT OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD YOUR GOD.

Jer 21:8–AND UNTO THIS PEOPLE THOU SHALT SAY, THUS SAITH THE LORD; BEHOLD, I SET BEFORE YOU THE WAY OF LIFE, AND THE WAY OF DEATH.

Deut 30:19–I CALL HEAVEN AND EARTH TO RECORD THIS DAY AGAINST YOU, THAT I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU LIFE AND DEATH, BLESSING AND CURSING: THEREFORE CHOOSE LIFE, THAT BOTH THOU AND THY SEED MAY LIVE:

Rev 22:17–AND THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, COME. AND LET HIM THAT HEARETH SAY, COME. AND LET HIM THAT IS ATHIRST COME. AND WHOSOEVER WILL, LET HIM TAKE THE WATER OF LIFE FREELY.

    The verses continue–

Mt 12:6                    BUT I SAY (TO) YOU,
THAT IN THIS PLACE IS ONE (or something)
    GREATER THAN THE TEMPLE.
In other Words, Jesus, Who is God come in the flesh is greater than the temple. The verses continue–

Mt 12:7                    BUT IF (YOU) HAD KNOWN
    WHAT (THESE WORDS) (MEAN),
I WILL HAVE MERCY (or compassion),
    AND NOT (animal) SACRIFICE,
(YOU) WOULD NOT HAVE CONDEMNED THE GUILTLESS.
Jesus shows the accusers that they did not understand Scripture correctly. Not understanding Scripture correctly, usually shows a person is either not saved, or they may be saved, but their understanding is very worldly. They are not spiritually minded. The verses continue–

Mk 2:27 (pt 1), ref Lk 6:5 (pt 1)                    AND (then) HE SAID (TO) THEM,

Mk 2:27 (pt 2)                    THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR (MANKIND),
AND NOT (MANKIND) FOR THE SABBATH.
The knowledge Jesus had that the Sabbath was made for mankind, reveals that His knowledge far above anything that the Pharisees and other religious leads had. The verses continue–

    Mt 12:8 (pt 1), ref Mk 2:28 (pt 1), Lk 6:5 (pt 2)    FOR

Mt 12:8 (pt 2), ref Mk 2:28 (pt 2), Lk 6:5 (pt 3)    THE SON OF MAN
IS LORD EVEN OF THE SABBATH DAY.
In saying this Jesus was saying that He is God. This must have infuriated the blind, false religious leaders of His time.

Mk 3:2 (pt 1), ref Lk 6:7 (pt 1)                    AND

    Mk 3:2 (pt 2)                    THEY

Lk 6:7 (pt 2)                    THE SCRIBES (or teachers of the Law–NIV) AND PHARISEES

Mk 3:2 (pt 3), ref Lk 6:7 (pt 3)                    WATCHED HIM (closely),
    WHETHER HE WOULD HEAL HIM
    ON THE SABBATH DAY.
Note that the religious leaders seem to have tried to follow him everywhere he went, watching him and trying to discredit him, even trying to ridicule him before the multitudes. They hated him. Time after time Jesus revealed that the religious leaders of His time were blind leaders of the blind, and they were going to perish. Time after time as the religious leaders tried to catch Him in His words, He turned it around and revealed that there were the blind leaders of the blind. It is the same today. Most clergy are as it was in the days of Jesus. They are blind leaders of the blind, and those that go to their churches are themselves blind, yet the blind don't think they are blind. They think they can see and understand correctly, but they really understand things as their father Satan understands things for he is the one that they unknowingly follow, as it is written SATAN WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD–Rev 12:9. The verses continue–

Mt 12:10 (pt 8)                    AND THEY ASKED HIM, SAYING,
IS IT LAWFUL TO HEAL (or is healing permitted–JNT) ON THE SABBATH DAYS?

Mt 12:10 (pt 9), ref Mk 3:2 (pt 4), Lk 6:7 (pt 4).    THAT THEY MIGHT

Mt 12:10 (pt 10), ref Lk 6:7 (pt 5)                    (have

    Lk 6:7 (pt 6)                    (A)

Mt 12:10 (pt 11), ref Lk 6:7 (pt 7)                    reason

Mt 12:10 (pt 12), ref Lk 6:7 (pt 8)                    to)

Mt 12:10 (pt 13), ref Mk 3:2 (pt 5), Lk 6:7 (pt 9).    ACCUSE HIM (of something).
As stated previously, Satan is the accuser of our brethren–ref Rev 12:10. Their whole purpose in asking him this question, was not that they wanted to know, but they wanted to try and stop Jesus, and make him look bad in the eyes of the people. It is still the same today as both lay people and clergy alike falsely accuse those that are leading people to Jesus.

Lk 6:8 (pt 1)                    BUT (JESUS) KNEW
(WHAT THEY WERE THINKING-NIV), Note Jesus knew what they were thinking. He also knows your thoughts. Are they pure thoughts after the fruits of the Spirit, or are they evil thoughts after the fruits of the devil?

    Mt 12:11                    AND HE
(which is Jesus)
    SAID (TO) THEM,
WHAT MAN SHALL THERE BE AMONG YOU,
    THAT SHALL HAVE ONE SHEEP,
AND IF IT FALL INTO A PIT
    ON THE SABBATH DAY,
WILL HE NOT (TAKE) HOLD ON IT,
    AND LIFT IT OUT?
The answer is obvious–of course the accusers will try to rescue their sheep on the Sabbath day if it has fallen into a pit.

Mt 12:12                    HOW MUCH THEN IS A MAN (MORE VALUABLE)
    THAN A SHEEP?
    WHEREFORE IT IS (PERMITTED)
    TO DO WELL (or good)
    ON THE SABBATH DAYS.
Jesus showed the false accusers that it is permitted to do good such as healing a person, for indeed a person is of much more value than a sheep.

Mk 3:3 (pt 1), ref Lk 6:8 (pt 2)                    AND HE (SAID) (TO) THE MAN
    WHICH HAD THE WITHERED HAND,
    (RISE AND COME FORWARD–NASB),

Lk 6:8 (pt 3)                    IN (FRONT OF EVERYONE)

Mk 3:3 (pt 2), ref Lk 6:8 (pt 4)                    (where we can see you–JNT).

Lk 6:8 (pt 5)                    AND HE AROSE AND (CAME) (there).

    Mk 3:4 (pt 1)                    AND

    Lk 6:9 (pt 1)                    THEN

    Mk 3:4 (pt 2)                    HE

    Lk 6:9 (pt 3)                    JESUS

Mk 3:4 (pt 3), ref Lk 6:9 (pt 2)                    (SAID)

Mk 3:4 (pt 4), Lk 6:9 (pt 4)                    (TO) THEM,

Lk 6:9 (pt 5)                    I WILL ASK YOU ONE THING.
Jesus asked the people, those that had the accusing spirit of the devil. Such are those that are religious, but possess not the love of Christ. The verse continues–

Mk 3:4 (pt 5), ref Lk 6:9 (pt 6)                    IS IT LAWFUL (or What is permitted…)
TO DO GOOD ON THE SABBATH DAYS,
OR TO DO EVIL (or harm)?
TO SAVE (a) LIFE, OR TO KILL?

Mk 3:4 (pt 6)                    BUT THEY (KEPT SILENT).
They kept silent because the very question that Jesus asked them condemned then, showing that their thinking was wrong and twisted and their heart was hard and not pure. The verses continues–

Lk 6:10 (pt 1)                    AND LOOKING (AROUND) (AT) THEM ALL,

Mk 3:5 (pt 1)                    AND WHEN HE HAD LOOKED (AROUND)
    ON THEM WITH ANGER,
    BEING GRIEVED (or greatly distressed)
    FOR THE HARDNESS (or stoniness)
    OF THEIR (stubborn) HEARTS.
The accusers of Jesus, the accusers of the brethren, the religious that love in word but not in deed and in truth, these have a hard, stubborn, and unpure heart. Jesus is angry and grieved at such as these. What kind of a heart do you have? The verse continues–

Mt 12:13, ref Mk 3:5 (pt 2), Lk 6:10 (pt 2).    THEN (SAID) HE TO THE MAN,
    STRETCH FORTH (YOUR) HAND.
    AND HE (HELD IT OUT);
AND IT WAS RESTORED (TO NORMAL),
    LIKE AS THE OTHER.

Lk 6:11 (pt 1)                    AND THEY WERE FILLED WITH MADNESS (or rage, or were furious).
Why were they filled with madness? Why didn't they rejoice as a man was healed? A wonderful miracle had just been done and none could deny it. However, Jesus had just proved before all that those with a hard heart, their understanding of God’s Word was error. Religious people, without God’s love in them, are religious people that have hate in them. They hated being corrected. They hated being proved that they were wrong. They were furious and filled with rage. Such is most of the world and the religious people of today toward true born again Christians. God is love, but Satan is anger and rage. Which best fits you? The verses continue–

Mt 12:14 (pt 1), ref Mk 3:6 (pt 1)                    THEN THE PHARISEES WENT OUT, AND

    Mk 3:6 (pt 2)                    (IMMEDIATELY)

Mt 12:14 (pt 2), Mk 3:6 (pt 3)                    HELD A COUNCIL (or plotted)

Lk 6:11 (pt 2)                    AND (DISCUSSED) ONE WITH ANOTHER

Mk 3:6 (pt 4)                    WITH THE HERODIANS (or Herod’s party–JNT)

Mt 12:14 (pt 3), ref Mk 3:6 (pt 5)                    AGAINST HIM,

Lk 6:11 (pt 3)                    WHAT THEY MIGHT DO TO JESUS.

Mt 12:14 (pt 4), ref Mk 3:6 (pt 6)                    (as to) HOW THEY MIGHT (KILL) HIM.
Jesus had healed a person, yet the religious people wanted to kill Him. Satan wanted to kill Jesus. Satan wanted to kill all of those that followed Jesus. It is the same today, as the world tries to stamp out and discredit born again believers that follow Jesus. Which side are you on?

As may have been said before, but let it be repeated.
There were 4 people than came together.
The one gave to the other three $10.00 each.
The first said to the one that gave him $10.00–Thank you. I love you. He had a pure heart.
The second said to the one that gave him $10.00–What have you done this? What is your motive? And he did not say thank you.
The third was angry toward the one that gave him the $10.00. He punched him in anger and had evil thoughts toward him. He threw the money on the ground and walked away. Which description best fits you?

    The verses continue–

(JESUS WITHDREW FROM THAT AREA,
TO THE LAKE)
MANY HEALED
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
Mt 12:15 (pt 1), ref Mk 3:7 (pt 1)                    BUT

Mt 12:15 (pt 2)                    WHEN JESUS KNEW IT,
HE WITHDREW HIMSELF FROM (THAT AREA):
Jesus knew even what the religious leaders were planning behind his back in secret. Jesus also knows your inner most thoughts. Are they the fruits of the Spirit of God, or are they thoughts of anger, hate, and mistrust?
Mk 3:7 (pt 2)                    JESUS WITHDREW HIMSELF
    WITH HIS DISCIPLES
    TO THE SEA:
The sea mentioned here is the Sea of Galilee. The verses continue–

Mt 12:15 (pt 3), ref Mk 3:7 (pt 3)                    AND

    Mt 12:15 (pt 4)                    (MANY)

Mk 3:7 (pt 4)                    A GREAT (CROWD) FROM GALILEE

Mt 12:15 (pt 5), ref Mk 3:7 (pt 5)                    FOLLOWED HIM,

Mk 3:7 (pt 6)                    AND (also) FROM (JUDEA),

    Mk 3:8                    AND FROM JERUSALEM,
    AND FROM (IDUMEA),
    AND FROM BEYOND (the) JORDAN;
AND THEY ABOUT (the vicinity of) TYRE AND SIDON,
    A GREAT MULTITUDE,
WHEN THEY HAD HEARD WHAT GREAT THINGS HE DID,
    CAME (TO) (or followed) HIM.

    Mt 12:15 (pt 6)                    AND HE HEALED THEM ALL;

Mk 3:9                    AND HE (SAID) TO HIS DISCIPLES,
    THAT A SMALL (BOAT)
    SHOULD WAIT ON HIM
    BECAUSE OF THE MULTITUDE,
LEST THEY SHOULD (CROWD) (or crush) HIM (or so that He could escape the crush of the crowd if necessary–JNT).

    Mk 3:10                    FOR HE HAD HEALED MANY;
    INSOMUCH (or with the result)
THAT THEY (WERE PUSHING FORWARD) UPON HIM
    (IN ORDER) TO TOUCH HIM,
AS MANY AS HAD PLAGUES (or afflictions) (or all the sick kept pressing forward to touch Him-JNT).

Mk 3:11                    AND UNCLEAN (or evil) SPIRITS,
    WHEN THEY SAW HIM,
    (they) FELL DOWN BEFORE HIM,
    AND CRIED (out), SAYING,
(YOU) (ARE) THE SON OF GOD.
The unclean spirits knew that Jesus was the Son of God. God the Father knows that Jesus is the Son of God. The angels of heaven know that Jesus is the Son of God. The fallen angels know that Jesus is the Son of God. Satan knows that Jesus is the Son of God. The demons know that Jesus is the Son of God. The billions of people in hell awaiting the final judgment now know that Jesus is the Son of God. How is it then, that of all these groups, only the human beings that are alive on this earth, do not seem to know that Jesus is the Son of God? Where do you fit among these?
Are you one of those that began to follow Jesus, but afterward went back, or turned back, or fell, or lost you faith, or became shipwrecked, or back slid, or went back to your own ways, or went back to sin and doing your own will, perhaps because you did not want the Son of God to reign over you? If you did, then neither do you, in your heart, believe that Jesus is the Son of God, for if you really did you would fear God and follow Him and not turn back. The verses continue–

Mt 12:16 (pt 1), ref Mk 3:12 (pt 1)                    AND

Mk 3:12 (pt 2)                    HE (EARNESTLY

Mt 12:16 (pt 2), ref Mk 3:12 (pt 3)                    (WARNED) THEM

    Mt 12:16 (pt 3)                    (all)

Mk 3:12 (pt 4)                    (or gave them strict orders-NIV)

Mt 12:16 (pt 4), ref Mk 3:12 (pt 5)                    THAT THEY SHOULD NOT
MAKE HIM KNOWN (or tell Who He was-NIV):
Jesus, it appears warned both those he healed and the unclean spirits that they should not make him known.

MY BELOVED (or the One I love-NIV), (or mine elect–Isa)
IN WHOM MY SOUL IS WELL PLEASED (or in Whom I delight–NIV): (or in whom my soul delighteth–Isa)
I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, (same as Isa)
AND HE SHALL (PROCLAIM) (or bring forth–Isa) JUDGMENT (or justice)
    TO THE GENTILES.

Mt 12:19                    HE SHALL NOT STRIVE (or quarrel, or fight),

SHALL HE NOT QUENCH (or put out, or snuff out),
TILL HE (HAS BROUGHT) FORTH JUDGMENT (or justice) (through)
(TO) VICTORY (or he shall bring forth judgment unto truth–Isa)

Mt 12:21                    AND IN HIS NAME
SHALL THE GENTILES TRUST (or hope).

THE TWELVE APOSTLES CHOSEN

    AND THEY CAME (TO) HIM.

Mk 3:14 (pt 1), ref Lk 6:13 (pt 5)                    AND

Lk 6:13 (pt 6)                    OF THEM

Mk 3:14 (pt 2), ref Lk 6:13 (pt 7)                    HE

    Lk 6:13 (pt 8)                    CHOSE

Mk 3:14 (pt 3)                    (and) ORDAINED (or appointed)

Mk 3:14 (pt 4), ref Lk 6:13 (pt 9)                    TWELVE,

    Lk 6:13 (pt 10)                    WHOM ALSO HE NAMED APOSTLES (or emissaries);
Note, He chose the twelve apostles after he had been in much prayer. Do you make decisions after much prayer, or do you make decisions without seeking God's direction at all? Jesus prayed to His Father. Do you? The Scriptures tell us to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith. Do you examine yourself by God's Word or do you go by your feelings? Most people go by their feeling, not by God's Word. We are living in a time when few people are studying God's Word as they ought to be doing.
The number of people that appears to have followed Jesus faithfully from the baptism of John was about 120, for it is written: Acts 1:15,21,22-AND IN THOSE DAYS PETER STOOD UP IN THE MIDST OF THE DISCIPLES, AND SAID, (THE NUMBER OF NAMES TOGETHER WERE ABOUT AN HUNDRED AND TWENTY,) WHEREFORE OF THESE MEN WHICH HAVE COMPANIED WITH US ALL THE TIME THAT THE LORD JESUS WENT IN AND OUT AMONG US, BEGINNING FROM THE BAPTISM OF JOHN, UNTO THAT SAME DAY THAT HE WAS TAKEN UP FROM US, MUST ONE BE ORDAINED TO BE A WITNESS WITH US OF HIS RESURRECTION.
Thus it appears that the twelve may have been chosen from a group of about 120.
    The verse continues

Mk 3:14 (pt 5)                    THAT THEY SHOULD BE WITH HIM,
AND THAT HE MIGHT SEND THEM FORTH
    TO PREACH,

Mk 3:15                    AND TO HAVE (AUTHORITY)
    TO HEAL SICKNESSES,
AND TO CAST OUT (or expel, or drive out) (DEMONS).
Note that this took place about 1 year and 7 months after He was baptized. He had done many miracles. He had taught them both through His Word and by His example.

(JESUS CAME DOWN THE HILL)
MANY HEALED
31 YEARS PLUS 7 MONTHS
Jesus had been in Jerusalem, then through the corn fields. Then he enters into a synagogue. Then he is at the lake. Then he goes to the hill country. Then he came down from the hill.
Lk 6:17                    AND HE CAME DOWN WITH THEM,
AND STOOD IN THE PLAIN (or on a level place–NKJV),
    AND THE (large) (CROWD)
    OF HIS DISCIPLES,
AND A GREAT MULTITUDE OF PEOPLE
    OUT OF ALL (JUDEA)
    AND JERUSALEM,
AND FROM THE SEA COAST (or coastal region) OF TYRE AND SIDON,
    WHICH CAME TO HEAR HIM,
    AND TO BE HEALED OF THEIR DISEASES;
This reveals to us that the fame of Jesus had spread far and wide as people were coming from long distances to hear God's Word and to be healed.

THE POOR WANT JESUS, BUT THOSE THAT LIVE IN COMFORT DO NOT.
This brings to mind the people today. In America many people are not willing to even go across the street to a church to hear God's Word and they have no faith so they might be healed.
However, in India, and Africa it is not unusual that people will walk long distances over many days to hear the Words of God. In addition, if there is a Bible school, people are willing to walk miles a day to attend classes, and walk back to their house miles at night. Seems that where people are poor and have little, they want to follow Jesus, but when people have many comforts, they want to follow selfishness and self centeredness.
Seems, if a person can eat, drink, and be merry they may be happy, but if they have little to eat and be merry about they want Jesus. The Bible clearly teaches that the poor, the down and out, and those that are hurting seek Jesus far more than those that have a comfortable life style or are rich.
Most people in the industrialized countries of the world are not seeking for eternal life.
People in the poor, undeveloped countries seem to seek God's Word far more. Seems a much higher percentage of them want eternal life.
Have you noticed that sometimes those that complain the most are the farthest from God and those that are content even in sickness may be the closest to God.
Have you noticed the more riches a person has or the more comfortable a person is in this world-the more they may complain and accuse, but the poor trust in the Living God, and thus they are content. As Paul said: Acts 20:24-BUT NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME, NEITHER COUNT I MY LIFE DEAR UNTO MYSELF, SO THAT I MIGHT FINISH MY COURSE WITH JOY, AND THE MINISTRY, WHICH I HAVE RECEIVED OF THE LORD JESUS, TO TESTIFY THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD.
He said in Phil 4:11-NOT THAT I SPEAK IN RESPECT OF WANT: FOR I HAVE LEARNED, IN WHATSOEVER STATE I AM, THEREWITH TO BE CONTENT.
    The verses continue.

Lk 6:18                    AND THEY THAT WERE (TORMENTED)
    WITH UNCLEAN (or evil) SPIRITS:
    AND THEY WERE (CURED).

Lk 6:19                    AND THE WHOLE MULTITUDE
    (TRIED) TO TOUCH HIM:
FOR THERE WENT VIRTUE (or power)
    OUT (FROM) HIM,
    AND HEALED THEM ALL.

(JESUS WENT UP ON A HILLSIDE)
THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT
(MT 5:1–7:29)
(LK 6:20–49)
BLESSED ARE
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
Mt 5:1                    AND SEEING THE MULTITUDES,
HE WENT UP INTO A MOUNTAIN (or mountainside, or hill):
    AND WHEN HE WAS SET,
    HIS DISCIPLES CAME UNTO HIM:

Jesus had been in Jerusalem, then through the corn fields. Then he enters into a synagogue. Then he is at the lake or what we may call the Sea of Galilee. Then he goes to the hill country. Then he came down from the hill. Then He went up on a hill.
It appears to be on a hillside on the sea of Galilee that Jesus gives the Sermon on the Mount. The place that most believe this took place is a bit south, southwest of Capernaum, on a hillside that overlooks the Sea of Galilee. From the top of the hill there is a stunning view of the entire Sea of Galilee on a clear day. With the wind calm, and Jesus near the top of the hill looking down, a huge number of people could have heard the words Jesus spoke.

Lk 6:20 (pt 1)                    AND HE LIFTED UP HIS EYES
    (looking) ON HIS DISCIPLES,

Mt 5:2 (pt 1)                    AND (then) HE (BEGAN TO SPEAK),
    AND (BEGAN TO TEACH) THEM,

    Lk 6:20 (pt 2)                    AND

Mt 5:2 (pt 2), ref Lk 6:20 (pt 3)                    SAYING,

Lk 6:20 (pt 4)                    BLESSED BE (YOU) (who are) POOR:
FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Mt 5:3                    (How) BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT:
FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Lk 6:21 (pt 1)                    BLESSED ARE (YOU) THAT HUNGER NOW:
    FOR (YOU) SHALL BE (SATISFIED).
Jesus did not promise them an abundance of food. A person that trusts in Jesus shall be satisfied.
Paul learned to totally trust in Christ. In doing so he did not count his life dear to himself. He learned to be content no matter what situation he found himself in. He repented of wanting and following and going after the better things of this life. He followed Christ and in doing so he did sometimes go hungry. He would sometimes be thrown into jail. He would be beaten, but now he dwells with Christ for eternity. Now he is indeed blessed and satisfied.
We might think of the rich. What is their attitude? They complain, they accuse, they get angry, they never seem to be satisfied, yet they have lots of food, big houses, much money, but do they have inner peace as a follower of Jesus should have? And when it comes time to die, what shall be their end? Some preacher may stand over their dead body and say they are in a better place now, but in reality they are in hell where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. They are in torment.
What is written? Mt 6:31-34-THEREFORE TAKE NO THOUGHT, SAYING, WHAT SHALL WE EAT? OR, WHAT SHALL WE DRINK? OR, WHEREWITHAL SHALL WE BE CLOTHED? (FOR AFTER ALL THESE THINGS DO THE GENTILES SEEK:) FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWETH THAT YE HAVE NEED OF ALL THESE THINGS. BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. TAKE THEREFORE NO THOUGHT FOR THE MORROW: FOR THE MORROW SHALL TAKE THOUGHT FOR THE THINGS OF ITSELF. SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY IS THE EVIL THEREOF.

In totaling the previous Scriptures, there emerges a wonderful picture for eternity for those that suffer now but follow Christ, but a very different picture for those that prosper now or are false clergy.
We might put it this way. Let us say you have one dollar. Then you are given two choices. Choice one–you can put your dollar in a special savings account for 25 years and after the 25 years you receive more than one trillion dollars and eternal joy.
Or you can spend your dollar now however you wish, but after 25 years you will be beaten and tormented for ever and ever.
Given only these two choices, which would you choose?
Nearly all people would choose to spend their dollar now, and hope for the best later.

Summary of combining Scriptures:

What can a born again Christian expect from the Sermon on the Mount?
Note what those that follow Jesus can expect to go through.
They can expect that they will be crying.
They can expect to be persecuted. Persecuted is mentioned twice.
They can expect to be reviled or be insulted.
You can expect to be hated.
You can be expected to be separated from people that do not want to be around you.
Your name shall be as evil.
You can expect to be denounced as a criminal.
All sorts of evil may be spoken about you.
All sorts of false, vicious lies may be spoken against you.
As those before you have been persecuted and the prophets, so you can expect to be persecuted also.
These things should happen to you because you follow Jesus.
You should rejoice and be exceedingly glad and leap for joy when these things happen to you.
You should expect to be cursed.
You should expect to have people despitefully use you.
You should expect that people will mistreat you.
Make no mistake about it. Life is a test to see if you will continue to follow Jesus despite all these things happening to you.

What kind of a person should a born again Christian be according to the Sermon on the Mount?
And what should you do?
So what kind of a person ought you to be if you follow Jesus?
You should be meek and gentle.
You should be hungry for righteousness.
    You should thirst for righteousness.
    You should pursue righteousness.
    You should be merciful.
You should have a pure heart.
    You should be a peacemaker.
    You should love your enemies.
You should do good to them which hate you.
You should bless them that curse you.
You should pray for them that mistreat you.
You should let your light (Jesus) shine before people.
You should do good works, that is the works of God.

What can a born again Christian expect in the future?
    You can expect to laugh.
You can expect to be comforted.
You can expect to be blessed.
You can expect to inherit the earth or land–this is during the Millennium.
You can expect to be satisfied regarding righteousness.
You can expect to be showed mercy.
You should expect to see God.
You shall be called the children of God.
You can expect that the Kingdom of Heaven is yours.
You can expect to have great rewards in heaven.

But to the unsaved, the unbelieving, the athesists, those that follow sin and all sorts of false religions and philosophies, and those that are make believe Christians the Bible tells us:

Lk 6:24.                    BUT WOE (TO) YOU
    THAT ARE RICH!
FOR (YOU) HAVE RECEIVED YOUR CONSOLATION (or comfort in full, or all the comfort you will get–JNT).

    Lk 6:25.                    WOE (TO) YOU
THAT ARE FULL (or well fed now)!
    FOR (YOU) SHALL (GO HUNGRY).
WOE (TO) YOU THAT LAUGH NOW!
FOR (YOU) SHALL MOURN AND (CRY).

    Lk 6:26.                    WOE (TO) YOU,
WHEN ALL MEN SHALL SPEAK WELL OF YOU!
FOR SO (in the same way–NASB) DID THEIR FATHERS
(used) TO (treat) THE FALSE PROPHETS.

WOE TO YOU
A summary of a part of the Sermon on the Mount and other Scripture.
Note the following summary of what has just been said.
    Woe to you.
Jesus is sending a strong warning to what most people want in this life.
    Woe to you:
that are rich, and are full (or are well fed now),
    and that laugh now,
and when all men shall speak well of you.

That which Jesus just mentioned is exactly what most people want today.
    They want lots of money.
    They want to be comfortable.
They want to have lots of good things to eat.
They want to laugh and have a good time now.
They want to eat, drink and be merry.
They want people to speak well of them and like them.
    They want lots of friends.
They want people to be proud of them.
They want the better things of this world.
They want to be carefree, comfortable and happy.
They want things that please their flesh like sex, and drugs, and alcohol, and other things also.

Few people, that is very, very few people understand that Life is a Test. They were put on this earth at a specific time to be tested to see if they might be accounted worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven. And the only way, I said the ONLY WAY a person can be found to be worthy is through admitting you are a sinner and then repenting, and then surrendering your life through faith to Jesus Christ and continuing in the faith. The Bible tells those that follow Jesus-IF YE LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS–Jn 14:15. After repenting and believing in the Jesus Christ of the Bible (Jesus Christ is come in the Flesh), then be baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost–ref Mt 28:19.

But Jesus indicates of these people–that they may have the good life now, but later it will be horrible for them.
When their life comes to an end on this earth,
    then these happy,
    comfortable people
    that laugh
and have the good life now,
    these shall go hungry.
They will no longer be full or be comfortable.
    They will mourn and cry.
The Scriptures show in other Scriptures,
that they shall ultimately be tormented day and night
and will never, for eternity, have any rest or relief or break from their screaming and crying.
    It will never, never stop.
There will be no one to hear their cries except others that will also be screaming and crying because of their torment also.
They will have no hope of ever, ever, ever having any relief from their torment. It will never end and they can never die, and there will never be anyone to come to help them.

All those people that knew them, but went to be with Jesus, will never remember them.
However, all those in the lake of fire will have their memories for ever and ever.
    They will remember their sins.
They will remember their good times.
They will remember every chance they ever had to receive Jesus Christ as their only hope of being saved, but they willingly chose to live in the pleasures of sin and in the pleasures of doing their own will.
They hung on to their hurts and unforgiveness toward those they believed wronged them.
They hung on to their living their life in “their own way”.
They wanted to reign over themselves.
    They had unforgiving attitudes.
Some twisted God's Word to make it say what was in their heart.
Others willingly chose to ignore God’s Word completely.
Others had chose to believe the lies that Satan had put in their head that the Bible wasn’t true.
They did not come to total repentance, or if they did they went back to the way they were in the past.
None in the lake of fire humbled themselves as the Bible commands they must do to the end
None obeyed God’s commands as they were required to do to the end.
None loved the Lord their God and the brethren in their hearts as they were to do to the end.
And Satan, the great deceiver, is in the lake of fire with them.
Now they will have time without end to consider the error of their ways, as their screaming and gnashing of their teeth and torment will never, never cease.
THE DEVIL AND THE LAKE OF FIRE
What you probably do not know about the devil.
Day by day, even hour by hour, sometimes even minute by minute your thoughts are filled with evil which are put there by the devil, also called Satan, and also known by many other names.
But you probably do not recognize or understand that the multitude of evil, angry, rebellious, hateful, lying, contentious, mean, self centered thoughts you have are actually put in your head and heart by Satan. The Bible clearly reveals that these thoughts from the devil will not be present in people when he is cast into the bottomless pit and has a seal put upon him so he can deceive the nations no more till the millennium is fulfilled–ref Rev 20:3.

Ultimately, following the millennium, after the final rebellion Satan, which is called the devil, is cast into the lake of fire. He will not reign in the lake of fire. He is the chief victim. Despite all his vast powers of deceiving the whole world-ref Rev 12:3, he will be powerless in the lake of fire. There will be no escepe for him and all those that followed him upon the earth since Adam and Eve, and Cain which killed Abel.
The estimated trillions of people that have lived from the time of Adam and Eve, up to and including this present time, as well as after the millennium which is yet to come, and then the little season thereafter---all those that did not choose to follow Jesus but chose to follow the wrong thoughts the devil put into their head and heart---all will be eternally tormented in the lake of fire.
Chances are, you may be among them because many follow the devil, but only a few, that is a very, very, very, few choose to follow Jesus. And among those that profess to be a Christian, nearly all of them are not a Christian at all, but are a Christian only in their deceived thoughts. They may go to a Christian church, but that does not save a person. The lukewarm Christians perish–ref Rev 3.. Only those few, those very few that are unfire for Christ, that obey His Word, and whose faith has been tried and tested and been found to be true, those few shall inherit eternal life.

WHAT THE DEVIL CAN DO TO YOU AND OTHERS ALSO
1 Jn 3:8–He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Rev 12:9–And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:...
2 Tim 2:26–And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Acts 13:10–And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
Eph 6:11–Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Rev 20:10–And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:11,12,13 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14   And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15   And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Jn 13:2–And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

Jn 8:44–Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Lk 8:12–Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Lk4:6–And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Lk 4:3–And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Satan can put thoughts into a person's head and heart, and the person thinks it is their own thoughts because their heart agrees with it.

Mt 25:41-Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

    Mt 4:8–Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Mt 4:5–Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Mt 4:1–Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

1 Pet 5:8–9–Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Before summarizing some of the things the Scriptures have told us of the devil, we also need to consider the following of what Satan believes of himself.

    Isa 14:12–14
12…O Lucifer, son of the morning!…which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart,
    I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
    I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most High.

Satan is so powerful, that he himself believes he can exalt his throne above the stars of God. He believes he can ascend above the heights of the clouds. Satan believes he can be like God the Father.

The battle ground is in heaven and on the earth.
The angels were tested to see if they would follow Satan or God.
Humanity is being tested to see if they will follow Satan or God. God has given humanity God’s Word–the Bible which is “truth”. Jesus is the Word. Satan has been given enormous powers of deception to work in the hearts and minds of people. Each person will ultimately choose whether to believe God’s Word or to believe the lying thoughts in their minds and heart which contradicts God’s Word. Those that choose to believe and obey God’s Word will inherit eternal live. Those that choose to believe Satan’s lies in their hearts and minds will ultimately inherit the lake of fire. Life is the period of testing.

The Scriptures clearly reveal to us that Satan is the most intelligent and evil being God has ever created. Satan is pride. Satan is the most self centered being God ever created. Satan believes himself to be so powerful that he can challenge God Himself.

The Devil’s power to deceive people in their hearts and thoughts is very great, yet a few do break free of Satan’s power through humbling themselves, repenting, believing and obeying God’s Word.

His power to deceive people is so strong that he is able to make people believe he does not even exist.
He is able to make people fully confident that they are doing the right things when in fact they are doing what Satan has put in their minds and heart to do.
It is only a few, a very few that can escape the cunning devices, and the what seems to be powerful, hypnotic power of deception of the devil.

Only through faith in Jesus Christ, Who is come in the flesh, and through denying themselves, and letting Jesus Christ reign and rule their lives, can a person break free of the devil which deceives the whole world. But even then, even among nearly all preachers, few, very few can recognize most of Satan’s deceptions that he puts in their hearts. Note, it says most. People throughout the world greatly underestimate the power of the devil to deceive and to twist Scriptures in a person’s mind. As it is written: SATAN DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD and THE DEVIL WHICH DECEIVED THEM.
Satan’s power to deceive is such that he deceived 1/3rd of the angels of heaven, and they turned from following God to following the devil.
Hear some of God’s Word again:
the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:…
who are taken captive by him at his will.
And the devil that deceived them
the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts

    The devil can put thoughts into your heart as it is written: (the) devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
The devil can stir up your ungodly lusts or desires as it is written: the lusts of your father ye will do
    The devil can take you places and show you things to entice you to do wrong as it is written: the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Now the question is asked. Which God will you follow? Is it the god of this world, the god of your pride, the god of wanting your own will, the god of being your own boss, the god of wanting to reign over yourself, or is it the—
God of heaven which commands you to repent, believe, obey, and follow the Gospel. A person's only hope is to trust in Jesus Christ as your only hope of salvation. As the billions of people that have existed before you have made that choice, so you also will make that choice. To do nothing is to perish because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

A BORN–AGAIN ATTITUDE:
HOW TO TREAT OTHER PEOPLE
LOVE YOUR ENEMIES
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
Lk 6:27                    BUT I SAY (TO) YOU WHICH HEAR (Me) (or are listening),
LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, DO GOOD TO THEM WHICH HATE YOU,

A BORN–AGAIN ATTITUDE:
HOW TO TREAT OTHER PEOPLE
BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
Lk 6:28                    BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU,
    AND PRAY FOR THEM
WHICH DESPITEFULLY USE YOU (or mistreat you).

That which Jesus is commanding His people to do is exactly the opposite of what the world and those that follow Satan do. What are the fruits of your attitude?
Do you love your enemies or hate them?
Do you do good to them which hate you or do you do to them like they do to you?
Those that curse you, do you curse them back and yell at them or do you bless them?
If someone snaps at you, do you snap back at them?
If your employer tells you do something, do you become angry at him quickly and speak back to him harshly?
Those which despitefully use you, do you do the same to them, or do you pray for them?
Is your attitude like the world of like Jesus?
When you act as the world does, do you repent, or do you just continue acting like the world does.
If you are a person that is quick to anger, you need to repent, if you have chosen to follow Jesus.

YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
Mt 5:13                    (YOU) ARE THE SALT
    OF THE EARTH (or land):
Jesus appears to be saying that if you follow Him, your attitude and personality has to change. You are to repent, if you follow Him. You are to become the salt of the earth. If you have the Holy Spirit within you, you can change. However, if you never change, then it can indicate you are not really saved, for the Bible tells us that BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM.
Are you concerned regarding your soul? Are you, through His strength, changing?
Do you examine yourself daily to see if you are becoming more like Jesus? If you follow Jesus, you are to become a new man, a new creature, a new creation, a renewed person, a converted person, a born again person, a conformed to the image of Jesus person, a transformed person. Are you doing the works of God, but your fruits or personality is still like the devil?
BUT IF THE SALT HAVE LOST HIS (FLAVOR) (or saltiness, or has become tasteless),
(HOW) SHALL IT BE SALTED (or seasoned, or be made salty again-NASB)?
IT IS (NO LONGER) GOOD FOR (ANYTHING), Note carefully what is being said. If you are a follower of Jesus, if you are born again you are the salt of the earth, but if your salt has lost its saltiness or if it has become tasteless, it is no longer good for anything. Salt can lose its saltiness. A person can lose his saltiness. The salt is representative of the fruits of the Spirit. If a person has lost their saltiness, or if they no longer reflect Jesus, then they are good for nothing. They have left their first calling. They have quit following Jesus. Their light is no longer shining before men. And if they do not repent quickly, and return to their first calling, they can expect to perish for it is written it is no longer good for anything—
    (EXCEPT) TO BE (THROWN) OUT,
AND TO BE (TRAMPLED) UNDER FOOT (BY) MEN. (Ref Mk 9:50; Lk 14:34)

YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
Mt 5:14                    (YOU) ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Jesus is telling all that are truly saved, all that are truly born again Christians that they are the “light of the world” The word light appears in the Bible approximately 272 times.
In the same manner we may say that before a person is born again, he is the darkness of the world.
Light often represents God. Light can represent truth. It can represent Godly wisdom. It can represent understanding God’s Word. Jesus is the light of the world. The more a person repents, and obeys the Bible, the more light he can receive and understand. The more a person puts off the past, the more light he may receive and put on. The more a person humbles themself, the more light they may receive.
Darkness often represents Satan, evil, and little of no understanding of the Bible. Darkness can represent deceit and lying. The more a person does not repent, or the more a person chooses to shrink back from repentance, or the more a person is self centered the more darkness they are in. The more a person thinks about the past (or looks back) the more darkness he may be in.
A CITY (or town) THAT IS SET (or built) ON AN HILL
CANNOT BE HID. (Ref Lk 8:16; 11:33; Jn 8:12; 12:46)
Jesus now addresses those that his followers, those that believed that He is the Messiah, the Christ. He is also addressing all that are born again Christians. If you are saved, this is your Lord and Saviour talking directly to you. He telling us a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. In the like you are that city. If you are a follower of Jesus you cannot be hid.

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN
31 YEARS PLUS 9 MONTHS
    Mt 5:15                    NEITHER DO (PEOPLE)
    LIGHT A CANDLE (or lamp),
AND PUT IT UNDER A BUSHEL (or peck–measure, or bowl, or basket),
    BUT (instead they put it–NIV) ON A (LAMPSTAND);
AND IT (GIVES) LIGHT (TO) (or shines for) (EVERYONE)
THAT ARE IN THE HOUSE. (Ref Mk 4:21; Lk 8:16; 11:33)
If you follow Jesus you are that candle. You are that light.
If you follow Jesus you will not hide your belief in Christ as your only hope of salvation under some excuse. You will not hide your love for Christ because you are afraid. Rather you will let your light for Jesus shine before all that are in the house. Secret Christians are those that would be considered as lukewarm, which the Scriptures clearly show such are not fit for the kingdom of heaven. They will be spit out. You need to examine yourself to see if you are truthfully in the faith as it is written in the Scriptures.

In a brief study of the subject of light and darkness from the Scriptures, the following verses stand out from the New Testament.

LIGHT
A Word study
Light, the Beginning.
Light is associated with Jesus, with God, with truth, with righteousness, with being a born again Christian, with following Jesus, and doing the things which are right in accordance with the Bible.

First place in the New Testament light is mentioned, it refers to Jesus. People saw a great Light
In the very next verse the first command after is Jesus began to preach and say "REPENT"

Jesus is a burning light and a shining light. He is the Light of the world
Give light to all in the house
Let your light shine before men. Don't hide it.
Light of the body is the eye. Need a single eye.
Singleness-in single eye which body is full of light. One master, cannot serve 2 masters such as God and money.
Preach upon the house tops.
Light to them that sit in darkness and guide feet to peace.
Beware that the light that is in you is not darkness. Beware that you do not think you are saved when you are not as is the case with many people.
Every hidden thing shall be exposed by the light.
Can you sweep the house without light? Can you examine yourself apart from God's Word? Absolutely not.
Those in the light should bear witness of that light.
He that practices truth does come to the light.
The light exposes our deeds if they are of God or not. The Word of God, the Bible, exposes our deeds.
That is one reason many people do not read it as they ought. Indeed, little love for the Bible, is
also little love for God.
Little reading the Bible is little love for God, and heaven does not lie ahead.
Christians should rejoice in the light, in God's Word, in Jesus.
A person that follows Jesus shall have the light of life.
A man does not stumble in the day or if he is in the light.
Walk in the light while you have it less darkness come upon you.
Believe in the Light.
Light represents salvation.
Light represents God.
Show light unto the people.
Christians are to be a light to them which are in darkness.
Light is armour or (protection).
Honesty relates to light.
Light exposes darkness.
Light exposes the desires of the heart.
Light shines out of the darkness.
Light shines in our heart.
Light, knowledge of the glory of God.
Light represents righteousness.
Light, a believer, the temple of God
Light in the Lord
Light, children of light
Light (reproved) exposes
Light, Christ gives
Light represents wise
Saints in light
The saved-children of light, the children of the day
Light, watch and be sober
Light or day-at its core is faith and love and peace with the brethren and patience
Gospel brings life, immortality and light.
Can only come to the light when He calls you.
Take heed. Don't take for granted regarding the light that shines in a dark place.
God is light.
If we walk in the Light, (in the Spirit, in His Word) the same as He is in the Light, we are saved, we are cleansed from all our sins.
True light now shines
If you love your brother (God's children) there is no occasion (or possibility) you will stumble or fall.

DARKNESS
Darkness is associated with death and not being a Christian. It is associated with the devil and following the devil. It is associated with deceit, lying, dishonesty, and the things which are not right in the eyes of God
An evil eye-whole body full of darkness

Cannot serve 2 masters-God and money or anything else-darkness. If light in you is really darkness,
how great is that darkness. Some believeve they are in the light but they are really in darkness
Take heed that the light in you be not darkness.
Can you sweep the house in darkness?
The children of darkness are in "their" generation-wiser that the children of light
The darkness cannot understand the light.
The darkness of the world knows not that Jesus made the world.
Darkness does know Jesus.
Men love darkness rather than light because what they do is evil. We may say their thoughts are evil
because what a man does follows their thoughts.
All that practice evil hates the light
All that practice evil do not come to the light

MURMURINGS AND COMPLAININGS
Phil 2:14-Do all things without murmurings and disputings:(KJV)
Phil 2:14-15-Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe(NIV)
Don't cop an attitude. Do you believe a person that complains inside about many things is going to be able to dwell in the presence of perfection and holiness? You can choose to repent. You don't have to perish. And if you believe there is no hope for you personally, then you must have a lying heart for God says clearly He is not willing that any should perish which includes you and God cannot lie. So if you don't believe what God says, you are the dishonest person it is not God. Stop murmuring and complaining. Stop groaning and moaning inside when everything does not go exactly the way you want it to. Learn to love as Jesus loved you and stop grieving the Holy Spirit inside you.
